Cable car blink and you will miss it. Uber boat well worth the money

Cable car trip one way and very short time in the car. If I had paid for the car alone I would have been very dissatisfied. I was there early on a Saturday morning so no queue which was great. I actually saw from the sky attractions that I had only seen on google which was a great way to see brown for the first time. Uber boat fantastic and excellent way to see London from the river. Uber boat great value. Staff excellent. Was glad I had a seat as did get quite busy.

A London must see

Love to see the view up high. It was clean. We have so much fun. We were able to get out own cloud without any other riders. We stayed on and went around twice. This time of year in April there is not a lot of people.

Quick but fun! Take the water taxi and enjoy the views on the river! Then take the sky ride both ways and river boat back to Westminster

HUGE time suck and unorganized

Would not recommend this. Waited loads and loads of time to get boats. Not and easy hop on hop off. A night lights very bright in cabin tuning any view of the city. Did not even get to do cable cars due to how long the boats took and instead of just being able to stay on boat and tour around the river they kept making us get off stops we didn’t intend to to wait for another boat to transfer too. HuGE waste of time - ate up so much of our day we missed seeing sights we intended to. If you want to see the city from the river I would book a different option for sure.

Memorable and fun experience on Uber boat and IFS Cloud Cable Car.

The Uber boat ride was only marred by the very long wait in cues to board, but once on the boat, the experience was unforgettable, The IFS cloud was an adrenaline filled moment, with stunning views of London!

No boarding

We couldn’t get on board with the tickets purchased from TripAdvisor, and there was nowhere to change the online ticket to physical ticket or vouchers. Wasted hours and it looks like the staff has no device to scan the online tickets at all

Do the Hop On Hop Off Uber Boat Don't Do the Cable Car

When I booked this tour I didn't realise where the Cable Car was. To me it was a waste of time and there was really nothing to see or do other than go across the river and back. If it was in a different location closer to London that might be better. The Uber Boat Hop On Hop Off was fantastic. I recommend doing that part of the tour but not the cable car.

Cheaper to get a taxi

Terrible customer service. At no point were we told that we would not be guaranteed to get onto the next Uber boat. When we questioned the signage that said 'seats guaranteed' the answer from the crew member was 'its summer holidays what did expect'.

Fun day out in the river .

It’s far out but was enjoyable. If you have limited time in London give it a miss. I took the Uber clipper with cable car package, but if you want a little bit of history and commentary while on the boat the u er clipper is definitely not the one to take .

Don’t confuse with Uber cabs - tortoise transport.

This has to be THE worst mode of transport in London. More than an hour’s wait in both directions- waiting in rain with ill informed and unconcerned riverside staff ( all bar Stephanie at Greenwich - notably the only on land staff member to visibly display a name badge). Made me embarrassed to be British. Kept being told “ 5/10 mins/ 20 mins etc). Waste of precious day out time. Told loading front/ back of boat ( kept changing) , even with clicker counting system no clue of capacity on boat until it arrived. Appallingly organised and disgracefully ( mis) managed . Timetable bore no relation to running times ( “ it’s busy and it’s taken time to load/ unload”) - how they managed over Easter weekend or plan to manage in Summer I dread to think. Boat is comfy and onboard staff ok - but save your money - this is as effective as a “ hop on hop off “ service as hitching a lift on a tortoise. ( cable car separate review as great!)

Excellent family trip

Very good, well run service. I also had a ticket issue which their team resolved quickly and efficiently. The Uber app is slightly complicated to navigate for the boat service, but apart from that highly recommend this, a great way to experience central London. Greenwich is also a great place to stop for a family trip.

Nice experience

Nice experience and you could take nice pics. However, it's not very long the cable car. I would reccomend it anyway to see a nice view. Uber boat is cheap and you can go through London, I did enjoy it!

The kids enjoyed the cable car and boat ride. Had family from the States, they enjoyed the cable car and the experience of going to tower of london.

Great adventure

This was a brilliant way to travel to the cable cars. We got on at Chelsea Harbour and went to North Greenwich. We saw sights that I have never seen and I have been to London many times. This is something I would highly recommend. You can even get drink and food on board if you wish.

Avoid, you can buy tickets and not get on as the boats are full !

On arriving at embankment we qued up, the boat arrived, said it was full, then drove off. I asked the attendant he said you just have to wait for another. I asked what happens if the next one is full, or full by the time the que goes down. His answer was its first come first served. So we looked at the timetable and there was a boat due to Westminster soon so walked there. An even bigger que was there on arrival. A boat came, the que went down, and we diddnt make it on. My son then needed the toilet. I asked an attendant where they were and he didn't have a clue.So walking down the jetty I asked someone from another boat company and they directed us to the toilet which wasn't far. Surely this is basic information the Uber staff should know. Whilst in the toilet my wife rang to say we now needed to show our ticket or lose our place in the que. So I sent her the screenshot. My wife then ring back asking me to hurry up as they don't accept screenshots. So we raced back to the line after my 6 year old did his business. And I showed the ticket QR code. I showed the screenshot I had just sent my wife and it worked fine. Not sure why the staff wouldn't accept it off her. She had explained the situation. We eventually managed to board a boat at the 3rd go. And it was rammed, although managed to get a seat. The boat stops at that many places it did take a long time to get to Greenwich North. Our children 6 and 10 were that fed up with it all they asked on to come back on the boat, and we agreed with them. Even though we had bought an all day pass. We passed a City Cruises boat by Hornblower. That looked amazing, had a top deck, and was not over busy. You get what you pay for. We also did the Emirate Air Line cable cars return journey. Now the kids loved that and would do it again. Spot on. But it diddnt make up for the rest. We will never go on an Uber Thames Clipper boat again.

A great day out and one of the best ways of seeing London

When bought with the Uber River Taxi inclusive trip, the cable car ticket offices did not recognise the voucher without a lot of haste.

Great trip, let down by poor customer service.!

Thoroughly enjoyed the Uber boat and Cable car ride. My only gripe is lack of knowledge from the staff at the cable car. We booked the combined ticket and on entering the cable car. we asked the attendant if our ticket was a return as the info on the ticket was not very clear. She told us no, only one way. We arrived on the other side, got off the car and proceeded to spend some time looking around. We went to start our journey back, on arriving at the ticket Kiosk, we were told our ticket was a return !!, we joined the queue.. One hour later.. we finally got in the car to start our journey back. If you have booked a combined ticket through Groupon.. well worth it. make sure you stop in the car and tell them you have a returned ticket.. Overall, a good way to spot the local sites around the Thames..

A bit disorganised at times

Used this a few times. All fine the first time but on returning from Emirates to Greenwich we asked advice about direction and boat times. Was told to follow directions to boat and after embarking , found we had been told to get on the wrong boat and spent an hour and a half going the wrong way . Staff on board were very helpful and apologised for the inconvenience. Many of the staff seemed very young and inexperienced on the dockside and there appeared to be a lot of them hanging about chatting so I got the impression they were only half listening when we asked about which boat to get . I even pointed on the map where we wanted to go so there was no excuse for misunderstanding.

Amazing experience

We went for a trip on the boat. The boat was as mentioned. The staff were friendly and nice. We enjoyed the trip to the end and returned back. It was an amazing experience and I would relish it for time to come.

Terrible third party

Viator issued ticket was refused to redeem and after wasting £63.20 and hours of argument we returned home. If you want to enjoy your day buy directly instead of third party.

London from the Air, great views.

Excellent service, loved the trip. We were lucky as we had a car to ourselves, I imagine in busy times you would share. Nothing to do on North Bank, so just did a full circle.

Dissapointed

The ticket booths were broke had to go to other station to get. They would not print ticket for cable car had to go there directly and wait again. And they left over 1000 people stranded at 10 pm at the O2 and with a tube strike people had to take Uber or taxis. Had to pay 20 pound to get back. Bunch of lies. Go directly and do it yourself

Not really worth it

The location of the Cable car was awful, no sights to really see, looked like a load of timber yards and junk you go over. The Uber trip was okay, a good way to see and stop off for various locations and sights.

Exciting Enjoyable Emirates Experience

Well what can I say The Uber catamaran boats were amazing and the speed unexpected but great fun. sightseeing all day so got on and off the boats with no waiting The cable car again amazing views Was a bit windy but that added to the fun.

Uber boat not recommended at all

Bad unfriendly stuff, bought the voucher online and when we arrived Westminster pier the stuff lady refused to exchange it with the tickets and said she can't afford tickets to us before 2 hours?! While other boat services were running ?!Why bought tickets from beginning if they are don't have enough availability? And we for sure was not be able to do our journey to the cable car, just wasting money and have upset kids because their day was spoiled. Not recommended at all

Great way to get around London

Highly recommend using this way of travelling around London, easy hop on and hop off to see all the sights which arrive every 20 minutes. Boats really clean, bar for your food and drinks. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend

Useless

Uber Boat interesting is the fact of being able to get on and off as you please. Regarding Emirates Airline Cable Car: a very long line to enter then they had a technical problem and the ride on the cable car was continually interrupted. we were able to do only the outward journey and they let us out without giving us an alternative to return to the pier to take the Uber Boat. we finished the tour early and they did not compensate us for the cost.

Huge queue but was ok, maybe it's better to but the vip tickets. Staff is brilliant! And very thoughtful Especially EDEM.

A great day out

Excellent day out underground to cable car then Uber boat to Greenwich walk around Cutty Sark then up to the Royal Observatory and it did not break the bank

Great experience. Probably the best in London. Unmissable. Plus Eunice the attendant who greeted us, was delightful, giving all passengers such a warm welcome. Left us with the feel good factor. Thank you.

Not cheap

Plenty of room on boat not cheap but on holiday one of the things you must do, cable car was never ther when I lived in London, lot of work being done in area, cable car is not a long trip but good , if you have tickets from boat can do round trip then catch boat again and get on and of as you want
